iWhy LdL Lessons?

• The LdL  Lessons are the most popular  and convenient lessons at the School L’ Italiano da Lontano. We recommend them to ALL our students – even to those who opt for individual Italian language lessons.

These are  lessons you can take at any time, because later lessons do not depend on earlier lessons. Each lesson deals with a specific language element on its own (such as grammar, vocabulary, or a special linguistic structure). With these lessons, you learn Italian at your own pace, focusing on problem areas or specific elements of interest, without the risk of “falling behind” in your class.

• In LdL Lessons, there are never more than 7 students, and this limited number allows an atmosphere of lively class interaction, while at the same time, allowing each student to be followed individually by the teacher. In addition, exchange with other students will give you a real opportunity to communicate and interact with others, in a way that you can’t get in individual lessons.

Some useful tips

• During the lesson, take advantage of the time when the teacher interacts with another student. Don’t sit there waiting your turn, but continue to listen and learn.

• When another student responds to a question, try to answer the question too. Challenge yourself and use the structure that you think is correct. And if the other student uses a new word for you, then this is something more that you have learned!

• If a student reads a sentence written on the Blackboard, don’t just listen to it – read it too! Later on, when the teacher repeats what has been read, compare the pronunciation with yours and try to keep up the same pace. Read the sentence more times until you can reproduce it without hesitation.
